Casper Van Dien’s Most Memorable ‘Starship Troopers’ Fan Experience

Casper Van Dien NEWS

Her Biggest Fan! ’90s Heartthrob Casper Van Dien Is a Proud Dad at Daughter Grace’s Premiere

Like father, like daughter!

Proud dad Casper Van Dien was all smiles supporting daughter Grace Thursday night in Los Angeles at a special screening of Grace’s new TV show The Village.

Van Dien, 50, rose to fame in 1997’s cult hit Starship Troopers and has worked steadily since, mainly on TV (Titans, Monk) and Grace, 22, started following in her dad’s footsteps early.

The young star, whose mom is actress Carrie Mitchum, began booking acting gigs in her early teens. Van Dien and Mitchum were married from 1993-97.

In The Village, Grace plays a strong-willed and artistic teenager named Katie who lives among a close-knit group of neighbors at a unique apartment building in Brooklyn.

Van Dien frequently posts — and proudly boasts — about his daughter on social media and has been plugging Grace’s role on the NBC drama since it was initially announced.

Grace stars alongside an ensemble of familiar-to-TV faces like Warren Christie (The Resident), Michaela McManus (SEAL Team), Lorraine Toussaint (Orange is the New Black), Frankie Faison (Grey’s Anatomy), Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos), Moran Atias (Tyrant, The Resident) and Daren Kagasoff (The Secret Life of the American Teenager).
